We recently attended two conferences where we presented Wi-5 papers based on our latest results in WP4.
- The first paper titled ‘Smart Access Point Selection for Dense WLANs: A Use-Case’, written as a collaboration between LJMU and PrimeTel, has been presented in the International Workshop on Smart Spectrum (SSW) of the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC 2018) held from the 15th to 18th of April in Barcelona, Spain. This paper addresses the problem of Access Point selection in large scale IEEE 802.11 WLANs through the study of a shopping mall use-case located in Paphos, Cyprus.
- The second paper titled ‘AP Selection Algorithm Based on a Potential Game for Large IEEE 802.11 WLANs’, written in collaboration between LJMU and UNIZAR, has been presented in the IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2018) held from the 23rd to the 27th of April, in Taipei, Taiwan. This paper presents the latest version of the Access Point selection algorithm designed in the context of WP4, based on a potential game played at a central controller.
